Southern Creamed Corn

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg (10 oz) frozen kernel corn
  • 1 C whipping cream
  • 1 C milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 tsp sugar
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 tsp melted butter
  • 2 tsp flour

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except the last two in a pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer 5 minutes and stir.
  3. Blend butter and flour with wire whisk and add to corn mixture
    • This will thicken it to the desired consistency
  4. Mix well and remove from heat.
  5. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and put back on heat to boil for one minute.
